Kitchen Drain Maintenance, explained.
The kitchen sink handles more than any other drain in the house. Cooking fats cool and coat the pipe, scraps collect at the bends, and the disposal and dishwasher feed into the same line. The buildup is slow, so the first sign is usually a sink that drains a little slower each month.
A kitchen drain program cleans the line on a schedule, checks the trap and the dishwasher connection and tells you how the pipe is holding up. For a busy family kitchen, every three to six months is a common rhythm.

Is grease the only problem?
It is the biggest one, but food solids, soap and mineral buildup play a part. A cleaning addresses all of them.
Can I just use a store-bought cleaner?
Chemicals can help with light buildup, but they can also be hard on pipes. Planned mechanical cleaning is more thorough.
What about my garbage disposal?
We check it and its connection as part of the visit, and tell you if anything looks worn.
